Really comprehensive yet concise – a great read for every user who wants to support his/her OS in the most basic way: by reporting bugs.

Because reporting bugs is the first step to fixing bugs.
Some of the most beneficial contributions one can make to any piece of software is testing and reporting bugs. A single application may be used in a limitless

I just released a new development version of xfce4-power-manager (1.5.1), which contains a few important fixes over 1.5.0 and a hidden setting.
Read more here: https://mail.xfce.org/pipermail/xfce4-dev/2015-June/031278.html

We've put it up in our staging PPA for the brave ones to try (only Wily for the moment, Vivid coming up soon).

Duh, I know that. There's already a bug reported for it, and I think it's been around for a year or two now. I'm not reporting the bug here, I was asking if that issue was fixed with this.

If not, it's not big deal anyways, I already have it fixed on mine, and I don't plan to reinstall anytime soon.

BTW, in my menu, it's XFPM> Power Settings> On AC/ON Battery> Actions> When laptop lid is closed: "Nothing", instead of lock screen when I shut it.

I've been enjoying my Dell XPS 13 (9343) with #Xubuntu 15.04 for a few days now, everything is running smoothly, have to say I really enjoy this laptop so far!

However, one thing I've been wondering is whether any of you have found nice cases/bags/sleeves for it that you'd recommend. I'm really looking for practical experiences, because the laptop itself seems to be 11'' so a 13'' case would be too big but I wonder whether 11'' would be too small...

Style-wise I like the type of bags Freitag produces and at least in theory the 11'' version should work.
Note: I'm not looking for a backpack or a briefcase, just something to protect the laptop when stuffing it in my backpack et al.
Trucks are tough. That's why your FREITAG product is tough. It used to be one. Materials and workmanship of FREITAG products can hold up to years of serious daily use. Be nice to your FREITAG and it will be like a true Swiss friend: modest, reliable, and always there when you need it.

I just found this, maybe it would be worth a try (they only seem to ship to Germany though).

Just released a new development version of xfce4-power-manager (1.5.1). This mainly contains bugfixes over 1.5.0 and a small yet hopefully useful feature (show percentage/remaining time in the panel plugin).

Get it while it's hot! (Having around 30°C here)

Note of caution: as I just noticed the trayicon causes a segfault. Not yet sure why.

Folks, this is exciting news – Xubuntu core is (almost officially) here! We've been working on this for a while – not really behind closed doors, but without announcing it – and finally the day has come to put out the news.

Xubuntu core will be great for many who are low on bandwidth or who are simply not satisfied with our default selection of apps (note that we really do our best to keep sane defaults though!).

Any GTK/GStreamer folks out there?  Mugshot has a new breakage in Ubuntu 15.04, where the camera window no longer draws the camera video.  If I don't set the window handle, then the video feed shows as normal outside of the dialog.  Do I need to handle a new message or something?
