Although the jazz was great, my date kinda really had me payore attention to her, so i could not really enjoy. For one, it was only to be as friends going and taking. But as i learned she wanted more. So with that said. I hope to be able to go back with my true one and only. And then i know we will most likely really enjoy it! UP FOR IT ZUZANA?

Who said art can't be fun? The answer to that will soon be nobody if you just make a trip to one of the First Friday events at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Each a month a different theme and a new reason to go get cultured with some of the best art in the city. I most recently attended this past April where the theme was Apocalypse. Live music, pop-up displays, and endless activities you simply can't get anywhere else during a night out on the town. I highly recommend everyone check out the Museum of Contemporary Art and especially during First Fridays.

Very disappointed...not worth the money or time! It took us maybe all of 30 mins to go through and wasn't impressed with anything there. There is so much wasted space they could combine everything there into one small room instead of 3 almost empty floors!

Tucked behind touristy Michigan Ave, this museum is a must visit for any art lover. I've seen several rotating exhibits including Jeff Koons and David Bowie Is but the permanent collection is also worth a visit. If you're looking for a unique gift be sure to check out the museum store. They carry a wonderful and unique selection of books, cards and stocking stuffers.

I could spend hours at this museum... and I have. It's fantastic. They have exhibitions that are wonderful, but what you'd expect, and they also have exhibitions that are amazing and are nothing you've ever experienced. They focus on artists that are modern (as you might have guessed), but they do a good job of having exhibitions that display artwork from artists that you've probably never heard of, including artists that are still living and creating artwork. The curators do an excellent job providing background information on the artists and the theme of the exhibits, and I always leaving having experienced something new - which is saying something because I go there several times a year. This place is definitely worth dedicating some time to.

This is definitely smaller than you would expect, but the collections and exhibitions are seasonal and diverse. While the second floor holds a large collection or two, there are more showcases in the floors above. The museum is rarely crowded, save for popular exhibitions that set up shop.

I've always loved the MCA. I like weird stuff. I like how artists can create something that seems so random, but when you read the placard describing the thought process, it makes complete sense. It's pretty inspirational. Also, the MCA is a bit more affordable than some of the other museums and it's in a great location. It's walkable in an hour or so so it's a must-see even if you're in Chicago for a short period.
