LOVE this kid!! LOVE this dog!!

CALVIN UPDATE!! Zachary Conley, at just 8 years old, sees a photograph of an emaciated and ailing dog on his mom’s computer. His tender heart is so moved that he makes his upcoming birthday wish right then and there. “I want to help this dog,” he says. And for his 9th birthday, his mom, grandmother, family and friends and 26 amazing Calvin supporters help to grant his wish.

Read the whole story (with many more darling photographs) here!

A tiny, fuzzy body tumbled toward me, unaware of my presence… and then another and another. Six little beasties were playfully pouncing about in the old hay bales like very young kittens. It took a minute for my startled mind to register what they really were…

What an awesome little dog with a really big heart!

Disabled dogs love without impairment but, for dogs with mobility issues, a cart can offer the additional freedom to live a full and happy life. Nimee is proof of just how full that life can be… and she’s helping other dogs by paying her good fortune forward!

I Googled the smoking gun like a gift from the gods. I need your help to spread the word. The Pet Zone in Albany, NY is now proven to purchase their stock from a puppy mill.

My service dog died from a reaction to one of the spot flea treatments. I started a business in his honer to give people an option to government subsidized toxins. They are called 'Protection Products': www.fleafreeorganically.com

Every single day, 100 African elephants are slaughtered for their tusks. If current poaching rates continue, this beloved animal will be gone forever in the next 20 years... unless we take action. Sign the Petition! http://thisonewildlife.com/help-elephants/

Introduction

Welcome to This One Wild Life

ThisOneWildLife.com celebrates the every-day joy we humans experience when interacting with animals, whether domestic or wild, while advocating for animal health and welfare in the rescue and pet world as well as the natural environment we share.

Celebrate Rescue Animals!

Let fly a rousing bout of laughter as we share the hilarious antics of our beloved rescue animals: Shamus, the Newf; Emmett, a zany hound mix; Jackson and Jed, twin tabbies born 3 weeks apart to the same mother from different fathers (crazy indeed); Frankie Sinatra and Ella “Yella Bird” Fitzgerald, our crooning cockatiels; and a non-speaking parakeet named Wordsworth.

Celebrate Wildlife!

Enjoy exciting and informative wildlife adventures at our log cabin in Upstate New York and along our travels from Alaska to California, New Jersey, Ghana, the Bahamas and Mexico with more destinations to come.

The People Behind the Blog

This One Wild life is brought to you by animal lover, writer, photographer and videographer, Kim Clune, with the occasional help of her husband, Tim Clune, a man dedicated to dog rescue for more than 20 years. With an ever-growing cast of animal characters, we can assure you – there is never a dull moment in what we call This One Wild Life.

You’re Invited!

We happily invite you into our home and along for a vacation or two, or three. Drop by often for your animal appreciation fix. Together, we can enjoy all that This One Wild Life has to offer.
