Introduction

Margot Dunphy is a general assignment reporter, most often seen on weekend editions of KSBW Action News.

A former professional actress on stage and television, Margot came to the Central Coast from her native Australia, via London, Tokyo and Philadelphia.

In Philly, she received her Masters in Journalism from Temple University. During that time, she worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a reporter for public radio WRTI FM. After moving to San Francisco, Margot freelanced in production for KQED FM and NPR’s Marketplace.

Here on the Central Coast, she taught classes at Hartnell College in Salinas and Gavilan College in Gilroy.

Margot speaks conversational Japanese and in her spare time enjoys traveling, surfing, indie films and spending time with her family.
