After a week of Google and their preferred seller (slrhut) trying to hard sell me a camera by making false claims over prices I've decided  that Google and there ads can fuck off!

all my websites will by Monday be free of this parasite called Google who may well find that their bots are going to be told to fuck off too!

google ads more annoying than a kirby salesman!

An interesting over view of the interdependency of Capitalism and Communism... not quite a re-write of the old Cold War 'Vodka Cola' concept.... (how trade dependency rather than M.A.D. kept us from WWIII) but raising the point that communism and capitalism are not opposites but twin products of a industrial paradigm.

hi, I saw the mysoil app on bbc's click and was pleasantly surprised. The development of apps in this area interests me, so I thought I'd join your discussion and introduce myself.  I'm an environmentalist then a soil scientist with an interest in sustainable agriculture. In particular I interested in apps that have an educational and/or practical bias. I am also interested in the exploration of WordPress as a CMS for managing and sharing (mesh nets) data for practical and educational apps to exploit.  I am  'ambitious' with respect to intended markets: sustainable agriculture for subsistence farmers. One such concept in this respect is explored in the attached video.

can we avoid all bitcoins ending up in the graveyard?

Death and the internet is becoming increasing problamtic as the first net generation begin to encounter it. It's a problem that may prove to be the ultimate oversight for a crypto currency too..  one may aver that there is no different from the cash in the wallet in my pocket.. but the problem arises in accessing the bitcoin wallet..  the one in my pocket is easy but the one o my pc is not...Now as the living don't share their passwords what chance is there that the dead will be more forhcoming?

Am I as many of you destined to reach those pearly gates only to be denied entry because, like that last camel, the needle is too small for both I and that now useless and burdensom plie of virtual gold..

joking apart its potentially a serious problem and whilst I haven't done the maths I suspect that the rate of depreciation  is quite rapid.. Unless we all take a leaf out of Andrew Carnegies book and try to reach the grave a pauper then all bitcoins are destined to share that  grave with us.

Initially the system will inherit (the net value will be absorbed by coins in circulation).. so a bit like communism, but ultimately there will be a few or even just one fabled coin left... sadly it won't have the net accumulated value of all the 'buried' coins.....

similarly that point in time is like death itself... not that far ahead and for most of us sooner than we have anticipated for..

so what to do?

who owns my money?  The recent decision my google to remove the chrome web extension kryptokit ( http://www.coindesk.com/secure-wallet-extension-kryptokit-disappears-chrome-browsers/ ) has similarly removed the contents of those wallets... including mine.

this was not a hack or a vulnerability but a diliberate act by Google.

An act that has resulted in serious financial loss...

Some say the worse thing you can do is the right thing for the wrong reasons.....
Like changing attitudes to balance the books. Not I would aver the road to a more tolerant world but instead a step closer to a libertarian hell of legitimized crime.

I finally managed to put another compost video together. This is perhaps the crudest yet most effective method I know for dealing with all of what a small estate produces in organic waste.

To Kumbh Mela Videos to come. This one, and one of the opening ceremony and procession. I have also made a slide show on the Kumbh Mela photo site I created for the purpose. http://kumbh-mela.w43w.com

which should be ready in a day or so.....

It's been a long time coming but finally I've been able to put together a video of the opening procession of the Kumbh Mela: something that occurred before all the TV crews arrived.... so footage you won't have seen elsewhere....
