FPA along with it’s sister concern, Sykes & Ray Financial Planners (SREFP) launched a "Financial Literacy Program (FLP)" for it's students with an objective of helping the students understand the practical nuances of financial planning.
Over 100 students participated in the Orientation session, which were held on Thursday 5th June & Friday 6th June, wherein the complete understanding was given on how the program is going to be be shaped up.
20 students were selected, from an intensive interview round, wherein in the first week the students were given training on practical aspects of financial planning - MFs, Insurance, Data Gathering, Presentation & soft skills.
The students have been divided into groups, which are headed by practicing financial planners, who act as their mentor & address any query that they may have.
The students are now on the field, fixing up meetings or the financial planners. They get to see firsthand, the kind of questions asked by the planners to the clients & how the required data is collected (the students are asked to fill the data gathering form) & finally how the plans are prepared & presented - thus giving a holistic idea on financial planning.
