I've enjoyed two classes at Fitness Together over the past three days. I knew after the first session that this program was the one that was going to help me get back into my physical best. The atmosphere is supportive and upbeat. I receive personalized attention and even got to workout one-on-one with an instructor, this morning. I may not be able to walk tomorrow, but it is so worth it.

I have been working out at FT for 9 months and it has completely changed my physique! Lifting weights was not a high priority for me and I thought in order to stay skinny I had to do hours and hours of cardio. Before FT I was solely training for triathlons and would spend my week nights either swimming or biking for 1-2 hours after work and about 6 hours on Saturdays and Sundays biking and running. Now, I do a 45 minute PACK session 4 times a week and look and feel better than I ever have in my entire life. I now understand that it's not how long you work out but how you workout. I tried some other training studios like Crossfit but I like FT the best! I love the personal attention and direction I get and the fact that I don't have to think about creating my own workout. I also like the variety of workouts so I never get bored. It's always a high energy, motivating, and fun environment too. Highly recommend!

Fitness Together is great! I love that I can plan my workouts around my hectic schedule but I also have the accountability of having a scheduled appointment. The trainers at Fitness Together push me harder than I would ever be able to push myself. I have worked out with several of the trainers there and even though they have slightly different techniques, every workout has been great. They are all motivating and full of encouragement. There is even fun interaction between the clients there. I would highly recommend FT for anyone serious about getting in shape and working out in a fun, flexible atmosphere!

If you would have said that I would have enjoyed exercise, I would have turned around to see who you were talking to as it couldn't be me! But I have learned to really enjoy it and that is because of Fitness Together. It is a non judgmental comfortable environment to work out in. The instructors are great! Very friendly. They make an effort to get to know you and encourage you every step of the way! If you are looking to make a lifestyle change then this is the place for you!

I have been working out at FT for 2 months. I absolutely love it! Demetrius is my trainer and he awesome! Always motivating and I always get a great workout!

I have been a client at Fitness Together Dunwoody for the past year and a half. I was a client 4 years ago before that! I keep going back for a few reasons - * I get results - weight loss and general fitness * It is a friendly atmosphere with knowledgeable trainers * The work outs are challenging and different * The small group environment allows for lots of feedback & advice from the trainers * The class times are great for me - 6 am workouts get the day off to a good start! I visit Fitness Together Dunwoody 2 or 3 times a week and I feel so good at the end of the workouts. It is a place for men and women and any age adult too. I recommend it!

I've been working out at Fitness Together for over a year now and continue to be inspired and challenged. In the past, I've worked out with and without Trainers at some of the larger Gym chains and have also taken lots of different fitness classes. My experience at FT has surpassed all of those experiences and provided me with a great long-term fitness plan. The variety of class times allows me to balance my weekly work-outs with my work load and other family activities, which is critical for a working Mom. Most of all, the Trainers are all outstanding and truly love what they do. I wouldn't trade my PACK work-outs for anything!

Fit Tips: You Have a Set Point, Acknowledge It

Drugged up by no-limits, self-help philosophy, many people get frustrated when they plateau in their weight loss or muscle gaining goals. Everyone has an equilibrium and genetic set point where there body wants to remain. This doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve your fitness goals, but don’t be too hard on yourself if you are struggling to lose weight or put on muscle. Acknowledging a set point doesn’t mean giving up, but it does mean realizing the obstacles you face.

Expect to hit a plateau in your own fitness results. When you expect a plateau you can manage around it so you can continue your progress at a more realistic rate. When expectations meet reality you can avoid dietary crashes.
