Article 1, Clause 3 U.S. Constitution  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_One_of_the_United_States_Constitution#Section_2:_House_of_Representatives

The Constitution does not fix the size of the House of Representatives; instead, this clause empowers Congress to determine the size of the House as part of the apportionment process,[29] so long as the size of the House does not exceed 1 member for every 30,000 of the country's total population[30] and the size of the state's delegation does not exceed 1 for every 30,000 of the state's population[31] (although these limits have not been approached since the Founding[32]). The number is currently fixed at 435, which is around a 1 Representative: 700,000 Citizen ratio.[33] A particular number of Representatives is assigned to each State according to its share of the national population; election districts are not drawn nationally and do not cross state boundaries.[34] Congress additionally has the authority to prescribe what method shall be used to allocate Representatives to each state;[29] currently, Congress has prescribed the use of the Equal Proportions method.[35]

Notice that while the Constitution asks for a max of 1 rep = 30,000 population, and says the number shall not be fixed, it later goes on to FIX the reps at 1 rep = 70,000 to 435 reps from Gerrymandered districts.  We need Government reform by way of ending the two party blame game.  No to Austerity, The so called Clean CR is full of Cuts, adding to the permanent budget cuts already inflicted by the "Sequester" or as it really is: Austerity on the American People, at the Direction of Global Interests and the Koch Bros.

+Karil Sampson
What I was trying to point out is that some states have not been equal to others in the appointment of Representatives to population, and how it doesn't seem right to be fixed, when it says (The Constitution)  it shouldn't be fixed.  The rest of your post I agree with;-)

The I in me forgotten thru the eons of life but not to "they"!  Collectively & historically, the female discounted,  fear-based societies & masculine oriented-without recognition of the male aspect & female aspect of being & becoming.  The bigwigs relying on the force of the people, continue their supreme hold on the divine will of the people.  The will is masculine & the female is the creative higher power that receives impressions but knowledge hoarded & concepts of mind control ever coming forth!   If the female aspect is unknown & collectively the female aspect within us is tapped into by today's age of technocracy, ooh doggy, now I get what is meant by the sleeping masses! The Kybalion is a good long audio to learn if you will & learn how understanding the 7 universal laws work.  The all is mind and the universe is mental and government is governing the mental. Imagine a world with the I in me practicing universal law instead of  government & his-story of the universe with it's standardized terms n germs. :)  The hare hasn't yet won the race :)  A smart alec exposed is up to us individually; I wonder what the collective consciousness would then do for  us all?  Would they poof or poop?

A perfect example of Ayn Rand's Ideology: That the masses are too stupid to rule themselves; therefore we need "Giants" of Industry like his holy-self to carry out foreign policy even if its against the will of the People; who paid his salary for eight years.  Should he return it? Seeing how he perverted the democratic principles of this Republic?  I'll have more on us being a Republic (shudder) rather than a Democracy, in the next post.

+Alvin Bryan Agreed: Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" seems like light years away from the rhetoric of the ruling elite.

The Congressional Research Service defines sequestration this way:

"In general, sequestration entails the permanent cancellation of budgetary resources by a uniform percentage. Moreover, this uniform percentage reduction is applied to all programs, projects, and activities within a budget account." in other words, Sequestration is AUSTERITY, the same as in Greece, Spain, etc..

The dog and pony show the 2 party system is using to bring us yet more Austerity, has already been approved by both sides.  While they continue this farcical attack and defense of Obamacare.  Polls show overwhelming support for ACA, but not for Austerity.  Get it?  Both sides are vying for a position they can attribute blame yet again; one to another; so that neither party seems to be blamed, without the cooperation of the other; for throwing our economy, our jobs; and our citizens rights, RIGHT out the window.
(and as you can read above, " Permanent Cancellation of Budgetary Resources") aka AUSTERITY.

Answer Poll on C-Span, who do you hold responsible for a government shutdown.  Democrats, Republicans, or the White House, (Republicans seem to be leading)

On Al Sharpton's Politics Nation :Rep. Doug Collins (R) claims we are not a Democracy, but a republic; and the Congress tells us what they will do, not the citizenry.
Rep. Collins "Let me remind you AL, we're not a democracy; we're a republic".  The truth is......we are both; a democratic republic; of the people; by the people; for the people. (I've read nothing about Corporations).

So basically, what I see in Google+, is a massive sales extravaganza of countless technological devices and trends that send the mind reeling.  Talk about your Widgets!!! Sometimes we like to back off the more intensive showers of technical dodads and devices; that take up so much of our social consciousness and time; and often degrade our humanity; by putting "things" above "People"; at a higher value than is our worth to our common-unity; and common-goals.

Many Americans are ignorant of our history with Iran, this is to inform those folks who are not aware of what we have done to Iran; and why they might be wary of our intentions toward them.
In this web-only exclusive, MIT Professor Emeritus Noam Chomsky talks about the past 60 years of U.S.-Iranian relations since the 1953 coup organized by the CIA. [includes rush transcript]
