Troubleshooting  -

Well, after a failed upgrade to an e3d v6 I decided to go back to the stock hotend until I get +Peter Stoneham's proper mount. So I put it all back together with a new PTFE tube. Sure enough, clicking extruder. Sigh. I can push the filament through, but it won't extrude. I will try one more time with another new PTFE and a new nozzle. +Andrew RigidBot is it possible that it is the potentiometer again? That would seem crazy to me. I will also note that right after reassembly it extruded properly for like 2 minutes, then quit

It didn't clog. The nozzle-end of the PTFE contracted around the filament.

I pretty much love all of Jason Silva's work, but I found the directing and editing on this one particularly moving:

First test of a Ukulele I printed on my Rigidbot. Version 2 will be even better.

Finally got the Uke strung! It needs some tweaking, but it is starting to make music!

+Allen Lowe if you want to do the 20t I would use http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:465966 and not worry about the motor mounts.

I finished it! I used netfabb to chop of the very top of the body so I could print just that part and glue it on!

+Allen Lowe all the prints I did with any wood filament so far were a bit more brittle than normal PLA so I don't know how that would work out as the strings end to put quite a bit of tensions on the body also.
Carbon fiber infused filament should work out pretty good as far as I hear from people printing e-violins with it (I haven't tried printing with that yet but the sound is apparently better).

Is there a way to temporarily change a firmware setting for testing something without having to upload a new firmware?

There are several gcode commands to make setting changes.  Changes only last until a power reset, unless you save them to EEPROM (M500). (If saved to EEPROM, you needn't reflash the firmware.)

I have a card board already. And yes it is fun. I was looking into making some more fro friends but have not looked into where to get the lenses from. In the do it yourself section I just see the spec for the lens. Ah well, maybe they have them on ebay

I just did a search on amazon for ukulele tuners and there were several cheap options. I might not get these specific ones again. If you can afford them, I recommend the grover tuners.

Troubleshooting  -

All of a sudden I am having problems with warping. I am printing a light switch cover and it is peeling up on the corners really bad. I am using PLA at 198°, 62° bed, Elmer's glue stick on the bed. I did it one time with the parts fan on and one time with it off, same issue.

Z stop adjustment screw is an absolute must. It should be one of your first prints. OK maybe not but it sure makes things easier.

Just a little clog failed the most recent attempt. The previous attempt was thwarted by a total loss of bed adhesion. Behold, the graveyard of ukulele bodies...
