Thanks all for the feedback. .this place sounds more interested in the money not medicine. Ausssie embassy hints the best would be the main public hospital Sanglah

I was very ill with fever while in Bali and was advised to go to the BIMC as it was the best Hospital on the island. Over a period of 7 days I had blood drawn 9 times saw 5 different doctors including an internal medicine "specialist" and had a chest x-ray, I was never given any kind of diagnosis, never given any meds for the extreme headache and fever I was experiencing. I was told every day that I would receive a call with my various test results but was never called and always had to either call myself or go in. In order to get treatment from any doctor other than the incompetent attending physicians I had to refuse to leave treatment rooms and refuse to pay bills until I saw a doctor. After the 4th day I insisted that the hospital administrator accompany me to supervise my consultations with the doctors. I've had varying medical treatment in facilities in the US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Laos, and Vietnam. My experience in Bali was absolutely terrifying - I was told one day I had malaria, another day that I had Dengue, another day chikungunya, I was even told I had lupus. My advise... find a spiritual healer or get a plane to Singapore or Bangkok but stay the F**k away from BMIC

Absolutely incompetent doctors and nurse's. They tell you a small amount for treatment and then charge you thousands and won't let you leave the hospital until you pay the inflated price!!! PLEASE, if you can wait for treatment back in your home country then ride it out, don't be held to ransom by these blood sucking incompetent fools. I could write a 10,000 essay on all the things I saw that would pass as medicine back in Australia. Oh, and what ever you do, don't rely on your full cover health insurance if it's from Alliance !!!

Since I got cancer last year I know a lot about prices and services in different hospitals. BIMC is basically the same than the rest of Bali. A total rip off. A good hospital in germany is 4 times cheaper. A standard neck ultra sound cost average 50 USD in europe. In BIMC u pay 250 USD!!! For exactly the same ultra sound. I asked why. And they just say. Thats how it is. Take it or leave... When I got the diagnosis letter after I saw the doctor for 10 minutes (65 USD!!!) it's written that breathing normal, heart normal, throat no specific symptoms, etc. But the doctor actually did not check anything. Nothing. He only talked with me for 10 minutes about my cancer. If u asked me. This place is using ur health to rip u off! Its really sad. Can not say more. P. S. : i have no travel insurance cz i know the prices in asia. And i can afford 30 USD for ultra sound. Also in Asian hospitals with Western standard u never ever pay more than back home. I have been in many. Believe me. Only BIMC seems not getting enough money from us.

The biggest tourist trap that I've been in all my life. I went there to clean a wound. They made me wait 2 hours for the doctor. He looked to the wound and said "yes, it need to be cleaned. But I can't do that, U need to see a specialist". They made me wait another 2 hours while they asked my insurance for 200 dollars for the specialist. When the specialist finally saw me he said "the wound need to be cleaned. When he started cleaning it, someone from the staff entered to ask my credit card to pay more 300 dollars for the procedure (why not ask this before??? Or to my insurance??) they informed that they asked the insurance only the permission to see the doctor not for the procedure). I order them to close the wound and just walk out from the hospital looking for a mor trustful health care.

What a grumpy, rude man that sitting behind the desk just after the entrance. I was pick up my guest that have went there but went i ask i want to pick up, he said with grumpy face and rude " i don't know! Just ask the reception desk" he said whit a bit of shout! And he continue to watch tv! Very unprofesional and unpolite! Very dissapointed. I think he is chinese man with blue uniform.
