Nicely engineered frugal DIY project! Looking at the wood lattice on top I'm guessing the greenhouse section began as your back patio and you built up the perimeter with glass featured doors and windows to enclose, yes? What are your plans for benches, lighting, bottom heat, irrigation? No doubt you are dreaming of keeping a few fully tropical fruit specimens captive in your new mini Eden. Mangosteen, Chocolate, Vanilla . . . what's on your wish list?Apr 29, 2012
+Bruce Goren It was the carport prior to this. It is clear corrugated plastic roofing two walls are the house, the other two are glass. I had my neighbor install the walls since he is more talented at working creatively with wood. Future plants include cacao, banana, star apple, jack fruit and whatever else I can squeeze in.
I have a greenhouse fan installed but haven't wired it up yet. I'm trying to figure out the irrigation still, lots of options but most of the advice online is oriented toward commercial operationsApr 30, 2012
