2018 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Willow 10K, which has seen thousands of runners take part over the years, whose fundraising has helped us to provide hundreds of Special Days for seriously ill young adults throughout the UK.
This annual race is great for beginners and experienced runners alike and includes 5K and Junior 1K routes, plus a Tiny Tots Scamper for the little ones.
The 10K, 5K and 1K route weaves its way around the picturesque grounds of Hatfield House, allowing a unique opportunity to explore hidden parts of the Estate not normally open to the public. Plus the Tiny Tots Scamper – a free kid’s 100 yard dash for all budding young athletes.
There’ll be a great run-specific warm-up from our professional trainer Martyn Oakey, music along the course, fab food stalls and a physio on hand to ease any aches and pains before or after your run.
By signing up you are pledging to try and fundraise £50, or whatever you can, to make even more Special Days possible. Thank you.
Not only will all 2018 participants receive a FREE anniversary t-shirt, but the first fifty 10K places will be available at the 2008 price of £12.50. All sign up enquiries will need to be directed to the Willow Foundation.
Runners aged 17 and under will need to provide a signed parental consent form. For more information please check the FAQ’S section of the Willow 10K here.
Family and friends are welcome to join the cheering teams and everyone will have access to Hatfield House’s Stable Yard, with its lovely shops and superb cafe.

This summer The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, in their fourteenth successful year, are touring Shakespeare’s spellbinding masterpiece The Tempest – a play of soaring poetry, high comedy and tender love.
“We are such stuff as dreams are made on”
This summer the hugely popular company are premiering their show at the prestigious Brighton Festival, before heading off on a tour around the UK that takes in the most significant, historically important and visually stunning castles, cathedrals and stately homes, finishing their tour in mainland Europe in September. Performed in the open air audiences are encouraged to bring picnics, a chair or a blanket and a glass of something chilled this show promises to be another authentic, excellent and magical treat from the company that brought you last year’s riotous farce The Comedy of Errors.
Shakespeare’s late, great gem, widely believed to be the last full play he wrote alone, examines the power of true love, our capacity for vengeance and what it takes to forgive. A play that has mesmerised and moved audiences for over 400 years is just as relevant and powerful today.
