I am a whore, and my company is my pimp. The government is the john.
Basic Information
I post stuff about DC area history and stuff I've discovered while exploring the area.  I've lived around here 24 of my 31 years and am still discovering cool stuff every day, and it has helped keep me sane given the fact that I hate almost everything associated with the political/lawyer/career culture here.

I love beer; specifically, I love good beer and I love cheap beer.  These don't always go hand in hand, but that's OK.  What I hate is overpriced beer.  I will share things about good beer, places to get a good deal on beer and I will call out places that try to rip you off and the idiots who willingly go along with it.

I'm also a huge fan of the Caps and DC United, and I suppose I've adopted the Nats after finally giving up on my beloved O's in recent years.

I also like to share music.  And have music shared with me.

If you're forced to stay in the Owings Mills area for whatever reason, you may as well be comfortable. Boring suburban location next to a mall that has seen better days notwithstanding, Hyatt Place has it going on. Comfortable rooms, decent hot breakfast and WiFi that actually works throughout the hotel. The in room televisions are massive and have easily accessible console hookups, although the cable and internal hotel channel guides are ancient and painfully slow. Overall a great experience, making being stuck in this suburban wasteland a more pleasant experience.

I travel to this area for work every few months and always stop into the Americana Diner for dinner a couple of times per visit. The food is upscale but relatively inexpensive compared to the quality, the beer selection is decent and the bartenders and servers are always friendly. You really can't go wrong ordering whatever dish they have on special on any given night.
