"Of course everyone likes Christmas Ale, but their other beers are great, too."

I was extremely disappointed. The staff was pleasant. However the service was beyond slow. We waited onearly 40 mintes for burgers and fries. The food was decent. Nothing exceptional or over the top and definitely nothing to warrant such a long wait. Would I go back? Probably not. And definitely wouldn't make a special trip to the brew pub. The beer was good.

In Cleveland OH, for some fun and decided to stop in at the Great Lakes Brewing Co. The bears you can't get in Michigan, like Chillwave, and Rye of the Tiger, were great. The food, firmly in the comfort category, was great too.

The restaurant was pretty cool. The decor and fireplace made the experience exciting for me. I order mussels and a black/blue burger, as well as the Christmas Ale. The good was good, but the locally brewed beers are what you come for. You can taste most of them for 25¢ each.

Food was good but I thought the whole experience didn't warrant the price tag, also it's always very crowded.

Good food, Great beer, unique building (lots of little rooms and a basement bar), good atmosphere, historic.

So there are two reasons to go here: Beer, and tasty things that are either made with beer or go with it well. If you haven't had Great Lakes (or even just in a bottle), this place is worth a visit for that alone. Their entire selection is available on draft and even some one-offs as well. The menu is great, with plenty of selections, and a few that are made with specific beers (think a Christmas Ale ice cream, for instance). There is a cool gift shop next door that you can grab apparel, 6 packs, or even a growler!

I got stitches in my hand because their bottles are not manufactured right!!! No Joke. Be careful with their bottles and don't expect them to care about their customers. I was sitting on my couch, and when I opened a bottle, the top came off with the cap and sliced my finger open. I spent a few hours in the ER getting stitches. I sent them pix and everything and they didn't respond or seem to care. Plenty of better beer and plenty of other companies that care. Don't bother. You can get hurt.
