Crazy D-I-Y Ideas For A Theme Party At Home

A red and white theme for Christmas and a multi-coloured drapes and flowers in Navratri isn’t what we have in mind right now. Instead, here we come with some seriously insane ideas for unique theme parties when there’s nothing creative you can think of.

#1 Arabian night
From the dark-hued invites that flaunt a dome, the moon or the palm trees; to the shimmering gauze drapes hanging loosely; a low-sitting area with cushions, Moroccan lanterns and candle holders to Persian rugs to complete the look- hosting an Arabian night can be a lot of fun especially if done very specifically and in a professional manner. Not to forget the shish as, hukkas, Arab-western music, belly dancers and a lot of Lebanese food, especially baklava for the dessert.

#2 Casino Party
Get the feel of the Sin City with a makeover to your house and host a casino party right at home even if you are not in Vegas. Use playing cards as invites, red and green table linens, set up zones for poker, dice games, roulette (if possible) and usual card games everyone is accustomed to. Make sure you never go out of stock for all kinds of alcohol to ensure your guests stay in mood all through the party. That’s Vegas style!

#3 Jungle Safari
Prepare the tickets to a jungle safari and send to your invitees and see them become Tarzan, swinging through the trees in no time. Keep the main hues like green, brown and black, get animal masks for the guests, use inflatable animals and cut outs of bigger animals for décor. Serve on banana leaves some colourful fruits, salads, gummy bears and use animal shaped cookie cutter for snacks shaping.

#4 Ghost party
A scary party or a ghost party isn’t something that appeals to kids alone, adults sometimes just love to freak out. Whether it is Halloween or just a long weekend, plan this party for a lot of fun. Prepare creepy, yet yummy food using jelly, like ghost doughnuts, ghost pastries, Bloody Mary and use signs with spooky words like ‘Boo’, “Eeek!’ for décor. You are sure to make your guests go bananas and your party will become a topic for many future discussions.
