Our tour director Beth Briggs was wonderful. Beth combined the orgin of the foods to the colorful and diverse history of Charleston. Her friendly, humorous style and knowledge of Charleston was the perfect combination for a fun tour. Would definitely go back again.

Great guide!
The best part of our food tour was our guide...Zach! Very informative young man...about the food, historical Charleston, and personal family history back to the 1600’s. Tell Zach I have read the book he recommended...”Mary’s World”...which was a terrific look back on the same period and experiences his family and freedmen endured.

Upper King Street tour was great, especially since our tour guide Susan DeBlase was amazing. She was very knowledgeable but what I liked most about her is her passion for the area, food and her tours.

Our good tour guide, Sarah, was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and how different crops shaped the city. Everyone in our group really enjoyed her stories and the food that we were treated to. All selections were delicious!! Our ticket was a bargain compared to what we received in gastro delights and entertainment! I am looking forward to returning and taking another tour.

Food + History, a great combination!
Great morning tour which combined the history of the food of the south and the lowcountry. Excelent bites and amiable conversation. Go with empty stomach, you will taste a lot of food.

A great way to learn something about the local food
First, our guide, Beth was great! It was just my wife and myself (it was a Sunday morning) but it was like visiting with a friend and restaurant hoping.
She knew the area and all the nuances of the dishes we ate. Although from the area, we still learned a lot about foods we eat and take for granted.
At each place the staff could not have been nicer.
Eat very little as you will be stuffed once done. If you can ask for Beth as your guide.

A fun filled informative morning.
My friend and I visited Charleston for a business trip and wanted to take in the local flavor. This was the most fun we had the whole trip! We were pleasantly surprised by the sample sizes, the enthusiastism and knowledge of the tour guide, Suzanne, about not only the food but the history of the city and the influence of other cultures on the cuisine of the south. It was a delightful way to spend 2 1/2 hours. You eat quite a lot of food so don't make the mistake we did- go hungry! Thanks Bulldog Tours and Sizanns. We will definitely do it again if in the area. For those who are interested the tour is not the same every time. We walked to each restaurant and visited about 5 local east to access restaurants in the market area.

Wadmalaw Island Winery, Distillery and Brewery Tour
We had a blast on our tour! John our driver was very laid back and accommodating. We drank, ate, laughed and were chauffeured to do it. What more can you ask? The unique flavors of spirits at the distillery was our favorite part but the entire tour was fun! I would definitely recommend for adult groups of any kind!
