Are customers behaving poorly with social media customer service complaints?  Here's a different perspective on the growing demand for companies to look for customer complaints on social media sites.

Most people have heard this by now, but it is a good reminder. If you don't think you are in the publishing business in this day and age, then you just might get left behind.

Whether it is 24 hours or 48 hours, the point remains - Community Managers must ensure timely responses are happening in their communities.

How are you handling the potential fatigue from your social media engagements?

"Awesomeness happens" I love that. It doesn't just happen, though. I think stretch goals have something to do with it.

Kids all think they are awesome (and they are), and then they become realistic adults. Perhaps we'd be better off if we maintained the kid in us just a bit longer.

Question: Stretch Goals...are they good or bad?
Answer: Yes!

More cognitive delights from the fertile mind of +Stephen Denning.

Self-serve customer support in online communities is becoming more and more common these days. Customers are demanding it for simple tasks. And, it makes good business sense.

People keep asking "Is there a return to be seen from social media activities?" Other people keep answering "Yes."

Story

Perpetual problem solver who still thinks it is possible and worthwhile to change the world.
Introduction
Things you'll find me posting about:
  • Global sourcing strategy
  • Online community strategy
  • Business strategy
  • Personal development strategy
I think there's a theme here.  Good strategy principles can be applied everywhere and I have done that for:
  • Fortune 500 companies - during my time as a BCG consultant
  • Mid-market companies - when I consult with them directly or through the private equity firm to which I am a strategic advisor
  • Nonprofit organizations and civic issues - during my time leading a local foundation in Dallas
  • Churches - during my spare time
  • Individuals - with the coaching program I designed.
Bragging rights
As an Air Force Officer, I launch Titan rockets into space. As a launch manager, I got to say "Go!" on launch day.
