Please call my life coach as I've been on the 'bay again!
I picked up an OM40 checked by vendor and said to be full working condition coupled with a Tamron type 17A 35-70 F3.5 zoom both in boxes. The lens gives a 1:2:8 reproduction ratio at the 70mm setting and is darn sharp as much I'm with the prime lens party for ultimate quality.
I know how good that zoom is having one mounted on a Minolta XD7 (aka XD II) imho the best MF Minolta  body ever, so getting another with the OM40 for that ESP metering and TTL-OFC flash for GBP 40.00 plus tiny courier fee seemed a bargain.
I never got into Program mode but I guess for 'our day out' pictures maybe with zoom lens mounted, it's handy.

At Zuikos R US, I acquired the 75-150 F4 telezoom which I'll be taking some shots with over the week.  It has a 49mm filter thread.
It looks pretty sharp through the viewfinder and while the front end does move while focusing which isn't so good for square filter users, at least the aperture is constant throughout that does help manual and spot metering for those with the OM2000, OM2SP, OM3 and OM4 models.

Just acquired another OM20 whose magnets at least seem to working a-okay on this one and shutter speeds on manual sound right to my ears so I guess it's gonna be test film time.

Michael Jones, Cheshire East's council leader says what some of us have said all along. One Cheshire County Council really would be better for all of us here, less duplication, greater efficiencies and more say over Cheshire's affairs. Bring on a referendum on that and I'll vote for it.
Plus this post if you want this to happen
