So, my own "alternate memories" aren't just about Nelson Mandela's earlier death, but about his career as an activist, as well.
I'm wondering how much those kinds of conflicting memories are going to affect how we talk about Mandela as he's memorialized and remembered in history books. The different histories could be the source of controversy, if people don't realize they all
might be right.
