Been hearing a lot of these lately- outdated assumptions.
"My goal is to get a good job with benefits that I can stay at for a long time." Or, "A college degree will ensure I get better job opportunities." And even, "If I work hard, keep my head down at work, and just put in the time, they will see my effort and I will be rewarded." If you believe any of those right now, you're setting yourself up for a let-down."
