Reminiscent of Brooklyn, the Bronx and the North End of Boston.

The aromas of home cooked Italian food along with the rhythmic sounds of Martinis being shaken to chilling perfection sets the tone for a night of fun and laughter. The menu runs the gamut with classics like Chicken Parmesan, Sausage and Peppers, Veal Marsala and Linguini and Clams. Family style dining is also available.

It is hard to put into words the feeling of being in one of those great, neighborhood Italian restaurants we have all grown up with. Imagine eating some of the best home-cooked Italian food and feeling like part of the family. The combination of the homemade cuisine and warm, friendly atmosphere means you could only be at Vinnie’s.

Amazing restaurant! The sunday gravy dinner might be the best meal i've ever had. The service staff is extremely helpful. Everyone is so nice, you get the idea that people are happy to work there. Everyone needs to try this place out.

First off, Eric was a great waiter. The garlic knots and calamari were as good as boasted. My veal marsala was delicious, the broccoli wasn't as good as I thought it should be, but the garlic mashed potatoes made up for it. The cannoli and tiramisu finished up the meal making it hard to get up and leave the table. For my first time, I now see why it got so many awards.

What normally was a great place to eat yesterday's meal was awful. First I requested whole wheat penna for my pasta norma but it was not available. I ordered a greek salad and the dressing was too heavy - the lettuce was soggy. My pasta norma dish was so greasy I had to drain the oil into a dish. My partner ordered the eggplant and the sauce was too salty. + they charged $2.00 xtra for whole wheat - really!

My son from Atlanta and I ate there Monday night. The place was packed and I know why. The service was great and the food was the freshest and tastiest that I have had in a long time. I am from Rochester, NY and there are a lot of Italian restaurants there and this was the best of all of them I have had.

OMG! Vinnie's Shrimp Fra Diavolo was the most outstanding I've ever had - a perfect meal for a perfect birthday. Although I'm not a tiramisu fan, Vinnie makes it awesome. Don't let the exterior fool you...inside you will find impeccable made-from-scratch food, fabulous wines (try the house bottle), lucsious surroundings, great music, and a gregarious and attentive waite staff. Vinnie puts perfection into the food while David Jones and friends deliver the fun! Thank you again!!

I had the rigatoni bolognese. Along with cesar salad. It was delicious. Simply the best Italian food i've eaten in a long time. Their cheesecake is the best!

This is the first review I have written, Vinnie's was that bad. We had the 'famous' garlic knots to start, with pizza and pasta as mains. All of the food was incredibly bland, it's like they didn't even bother to season it. They messed up my order and brought me a veggie pizza instead of the meat that I ordered. The manager came and apologised and I got a new pizza and the original for free which I guess I should have been happy about. But after paying just $18 for a meal out for two, I still felt ripped off, I can only imagine they order in frozen food and heat it up in a microwave out back. Do not go here, how it won an award is beyond me. I have been to one other Italian restaurant in Asheville and that's Strada which was really good.
