Wow, fracking scandal unfolding, this is so obviously wrong and a red flag for fracking 'Children given lifelong ban on talking about fracking' - do they know something they don't want us to know? Now I am really curious...

Would have shared this public if the google+ ui made any sense... But while I can't change the scope I can reshare...

Seriously ? Hand over the keys if you want to use Facebooks official app on android. Allow them to draw over your other apps, make direct phone calls and add and remove accounts and modify passwords for you. And it's all or nothing, for the time being i'll decline...

It's good that apple got rid of the decision makers that eroded the apple stores customer service in an attempt to turn them into a profit center. Can we next also get back the awesome device charging capability of the MacBooks ? The current software does no longer allow charging your phone or ipad simply by connecting it with USB, you now have to wake it up by opening it up and it stops charging after a while if you closed it again. Whoever decided that should be canned too.

rhel7 is defaulting to XFS ? Wow, its all so backwards... rhel4/rhel5/rhel6 we begged red hat to support XFS so we could stop using SLES for large storage systems, and red hat always insisted that ext4 is the better choice (it wasn't). Now that finally we are at a point where ext4 is more stable than XFS for databases and supports large enough filesystems, NOW they want to switch? Jeez...

Is this the world we want our children to grow up in?

Seeing the ad on my way to work after reading an article about 'cyborgs are here 2030' referring to above publication made me wonder...

Lets try to share this again

Only Microsoft could think of subjecting users to policing in their own living room:

http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PG01&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=%2220120278904%22.PGNR.&OS=DN%2F20120278904&RS=DN%2F20120278904

They want to use the kinect camera of your entertainment system to make sure that only as many viewers are watching the movie as there are licenses accounted for. Hey, whats next, censorship of movies when the camera detects minors? Stopping the movie if a blacklisted person is showing up? Scolding when the audience uses swearwords? Calling the police on unlawful acts? The possibilities are endless...

...of course the trojan/virus creators are already getting all giddy of what they could do to the viewer...
