I believe I have mentioned Andrew Turner once or twice in connection with open source GIS. He too has been involved with the Open GIS Data and OpenStreets. You can check out his site at http://highearthorbit.com/

Also, his talks on Slideshare at http://www.slideshare.net/ajturner

Here are screen shots of the word with data field and an example of the "personal" or friend Board invitation. Mumble, mumble - not sure what happened, but the first line is the important one. You can click on each one to see it better.

In case folks didn't notice below the photo is a URL to a story that explains the image. Also, have a visit to her blog. It is rather interesting what is the inspiration for these images.

Neat. I think I would have liked it better if the clock face had scenes of spring, summer, fall, and winter on it ... but then they would have to make different versions for different geographies. I'd like to see one of these that ticked down days of the week and even the month. Analogue calendars!

+Joe Corneli funny you should mention that. +Doug Breitbart  and I were discussing similar columns for the worksheet on Monday.

BTW Did you and Charlotte get my email I sent with a list of next steps for inviting the potential Board Members? I had not heard anything from you. Or else was buried in email. Thanks. George

Story
Introduction
autodidactic techno arsty craftsy eclecticist

I've been working since 1983 with Research and Education (Higher Ed & K12), Libraries, community networks, and other organizations to help them understand and implement new computer, communications, and information technologies into their work, research, and education.

My area of expertise has included collaborative environments and applications for Research & Education communities. I have been engaged with ongoing examination of how new media and new communication channels can be adapted to provide richer access to research data and better collaborative tools in real time and asynchronously.

I am recipient of grants from the National Science Foundation, Apple Library of Tomorrow, US Department of Education, and the North Carolina Visiting Artist Program.

My artworks are included in the collections of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, Winston Salem, NC, the Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Greensboro, NC, Waterworks Art Gallery, Salisbury, NC, Jean Brown Archive, Tyringham, MA, Franklin Furnace, New York, NY, Congregation Bayt Shalom, Greenville, NC, Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL, Los angeles Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, California, ARTPOOL, Budapest, Hungary, The Museum of Museums, Bruxelles, Belgium, and also numerous private collections.
