Isobar is collaborating with acclaimed advertising executive Steve Henry and the minds behind Decoded to create a series of six workshops during Cannes Lions week, designed to empower and inspire our guests with confidence and an understanding of the language of the web – equipping them for the future of creativity. The 'Cannes You Code?' sessions, to be hosted at the Aegis Media Beach House at Plage 45, La Croisette, will provide an introduction to the world of code, debunk myths and demonstrate why code is a creative and strategic skill.

In March, we hosted the UK's first 'hackathon' focussed on Near Field Communication (NFC). More than 65 people from 5 countries attended the event and made up the 20 teams that went head-to-head. Two teams of budding developers were awarded kick-starter funds to help bring their apps to market. The 34-hour challenge brought together the best developers and designers at Shoreditch Studios in London.

On March 24/25, we hosted 'Isobar Create London, together with O2', the UK's first developer event or 'hackathon' that challenged people to pioneer new and innovative uses of Near Field Communications (NFC) technology.

More than 65 people from 5 countries attended the event and made up the 20 teams that went head to head in the 34-hour challenge at Shoreditch Studios in London.

The teams were asked to develop Apps under the headings of Retail, Sporting Events, Finance and Leisure & Entertainment. Two teams of budding developers have been awarded kick-starter funds to help bring their ideas to market.

Isobar Mobile have created an innovative film noir inspired campaign for Valentine's Day, in association with Postercope. The brand campaign, launched in London and Manchester yesterday, involves an imaginative engagement for consumers using outdoor media, QR codes and HTML5.
