“Photography helps people to see.” ― Berenice Abbott
That is especially true of time-lapse where we see time compressed.

Point Cartwright, QLD
I'm having a hard time choosing which is my favourite image from   tonight. We did arrive a little later than I wanted ... but you make the most of the situation :)

Seven Minutes of Sunset
Well, more dusk than sunset. The exposure was started an hour, after sunset, with the shutter left open for 7 minutes. I guess that qualifies as a long exposure.

Why so long? Two reasons. Firstly, to collect enough light at a normal ISO for the image to be useable. Secondly, to get the movement of the clouds, as well as some star rotation.

Subtle
Not every sunset has to be spectacular. But taking the time to enjoy it and soak in the quietness of it is important and life-giving.

Well, it is for me.

Point Arkwright
Sunrise this morning at 5:15. The tide was coming in, so it was great to get waves coming over some of the rocks.
