It was more than two years ago that I first released jQuery Fundamentals, a free online guide to learning the jQuery library. Today, with the help of +Bocoup, I'm happy to announce that both the content and the site have gotten a huge face lift.

Check it out at http://jqfundamentals.com and please share your feedback!

Rebecca, I recently started learning JavaScript, and jQuery, and I found your old guide most helpful. After finnishing the old guide, I browsed a few sections in your new guide - I found them even better! The hands-on tutorial style is great, but for reading, especially on a tablet PC, a single page version would be a nice addition.

+Ben Alman and I are heading to Atlanta for a jQuery Essentials training next month -- earlybird tickets are on sale for just a few more days! Where do you want to see us go next?

+Peter Ahlers I'm afraid Europe isn't in the cards at the moment, but I don't rule it out in 2013 :)

Great post: "That said: if you like JavaScript, you should get an Arduino, and you should build things with Johnny Five. Rick said it best with his initial encouragement to me: as people who make things on computer screens all day, it’s incredibly cool the first time you make an LED light up in the real world"

Some thoughts on how expectations have changed for front-end developers, as we shift from an emphasis on cross-browser trivia to an emphasis on tools that make us more efficient and productive.
I wrote a README the other day for a project that I’m hoping other developers will look at and learn from, and as I was writing it, I realized …
