Associate Professor D. A. Sotiropoulos is currently doing empirical field research on the development of democracy in the Western Balkans in the post-crisis period. He regularly visits Belgrade and Skopje as part of this research and has already published, in electronic format, a preliminary paper on the derailment of democracy in the region
