Updated, upscale Latin tapas & larger plates in festive surrounds with big booths & a happy hour.- Google
"Great bar area that allows for full menu ordering and happy hour specials."
"Food tastes good, but not worth the price with the small amount that you get."

The food was delicious, service was great, and I loved the atmosphere. However, this restaurant has extremely small portion sizes. I understand that high end food typically has smaller portions, but this place took it to a whole new level. Also, the menu was misleading. Definitely clarify with your waiter before ordering to make sure you get what you want.

OMG the happy hour drinks here and the food is amazing! The fries are so good and the queso fundido is amazing! Service is really good as well.

Fun atmosphere and the food was really good. I would definitely come back. Prices were around $22 an dish, hit the happy hour if you can.

Oba has had the same executive chef since it started, and the food has remained high-quality. Low turn over on the staff makes it great for locals as well. Best jalapeno poppers in the city too!

I'd like to rate Oba higher because I love the menu, the small plates and the staff, but they're one of too many wood-burning kitchens in the dense Pearl neighborhood. Not only are the neighbors and their patrons adversely affected by the toxic woodsmoke, but their staff is exposed on every shift, every day. It's time for restaurants and their creative chefs to realize, woodsmoke is toxic.

We went for the happy hour menu and it was worth the trip. The mojitos and margaritas were made with real juice mixes and were reasonably priced at $5 a drink. The food options are varied - from vegetarian to raw tuna offerings - and tasty, specializing in small plates. The atmosphere of the bar area on a Friday was lively but still comfortable.

Great cocktails, nice food. Portion sizes are small, but fill you up just right. Table-side guacamole was great!

This is a fantastic restaurant. However, it is hard to feel satisfied leaving a restaurant still hungry and $80 worse off. I love the intense flavor profiles that Steve McLain has curated, I just wanted a little bit more of them for the money.
