CRANK my love
deep down CLUNK
CRACK my heart
your stab DROP
DRIP into my well
my love DRUNK
DRINK my love
ride my BACK
BREAK my barrier
searing BRINK
BLEAK beyond
then I LEAP
LACK the ground
white hot LEAK
LARK song sing
tree to TRUNK
TRACK my scent
wear my TRAP
TRIP my love

I know I follow somebody who started her own steam punk business... Can't remember her name.

You On

nails dig in
sharp intake of breath
fire in my eyes
could consume you
for what you do

you slay me
one big hand for my two
slick skin on skin
relax and contract
rippling second act

deep sounds pound
heart beats in my chest
exhale in my ear
surrender captive time
to rhythms of our rhyme

see exotic seas
we’re beneath the water
taste of salt
releasing grips
neck to your lips

I’m wearing you
nature’s perfume adorned
sweet vessel keeps you
hot smell of our play
again... again til day

Eyes lock and it starts
Quick knife to flint
Smiles, introduction
Smooth skin touches skin

Around the periphery
Crackle, simmer, burn
Sparks could be caught
Glow in palms upturned

Swaying vortex of us
I’m not prepared
Can’t hold on or let go
Lost my feet somewhere

Every slight touch
Ripples of throbbing light
Cacophony of yes more
Desire mirrored bright

Ah!  Hearts crashing
Open doors, fools rush in
Who cares what or when
Fiery impetuous grins

Encapsuled together
Distant salvo explodes
Fan 'til we're set aflame
Let's see where this goes

#4. Your schedule makes you dumber.

Force yourself outside of your daily schedule. Be curious and take time to learn about worlds outside of the one you live in. Watch the news, read the paper, educate yourself. Don’t be afraid to call people you don’t know, start a conversation, and ask for things you need. At the very least, you’ll be more interesting. At the most, you’ll take your business in new and bigger directions.

Writing is like driving a car at night. You can only see as far as the headlights, but you make the whole trip that way. -E.L. Doctorow, writer (b. 1931)
