How to Identify Ants? (Part1)

Many years ago when I started birding, I had a very tough time since I seldom knew what I was looking at. It took many years to even get the basics right.
Few months ago a few of us thought, why not make it easier for our friends on Goa Birders by giving them something which can be the first step towards bird identification? Why not make a small ebook which can be carried easily on a smartphone which will be useful for all beginner and enthusiastic birders in Goa?
So this is the answer to that question:
Common Birds of Goa.
an ebooklet compiled by four of us from GBCN dedicated to all the birders out there!
The ebooklet has images of 183 species which can be commonly found in Goa, depending on the location/habitat in which you are birding. We have tried to incorporate as many variations (morphs/dimorphism) as possible to make it useful.
We hope this will be the first step which will springboard all our beginner birders into serious bird watching in future.
For all those who know Parag Rangnekar, State Coordinator of India Bird Conservation Network - Goa and Goa Bird Conservation Network, there is a small foreword written by him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note that this ebooklet is for free download, so please circulate it widely, however this is not meant for commercial purposes and if you would like to print it for personal use please contact us and get permissions.
