A bill that would result in licensure for personnel performing medical imaging and radiation therapy in Oklahoma has moved forward in the state Senate. Oklahoma R.T.s will gather at the Capitol in Oklahoma City on March 28 to voice their support for the measure. http://bit.ly/2GE2RK4

Proposed legislation in Oregon would have allowed advanced practice nurses to perform and supervise some medical imaging procedures. The measure was stopped after the Oregon Society of Radiologic Technologists and ASRT contacted lawmakers to alert them about the risks to patients when personnel other than registered radiologic technologists perform medical imaging procedures. http://bit.ly/2GuXUmA
