Food: - Smoked Salmon app - pretty good - Black Label Burger - think juicy burger, nicely seared on the outside and cooked as ordered - you ask for medium, you actually get medium. Nice flavor, served with caramelized onions, tomato, bibb lettuce, on a sesame bun. A sweet pickled spear and a large portion of nicely fried french fries on the side. - Trout al meuniere - 2 filets, with very nicely crisped skins and soft meat, served atop lemon butter sauce which was is very rich (maybe I'd ask for it on the side if I got it again next time), and super light and crunch croutons. - Spinach side - sauteed with oil, garlic salt. Nicely done. Service: good

In my opinion the best dining experience and steak in town. Far exceeds other notable steak houses. Excellent and knowledgeable servers with a great sense of humor and commitment. to the craft of fine service and dining.

A solid four stars and you won't be disappointed. Around every corner in New York is a cool place to eat. So foodies are on a constant search for "The Best". Eating at Minetta's gives you that good feeling of being at a cool place along with great food. If you try their burger and it isn't one of the greatest ever, I'll drink my own blood. Tables are very close, but that's New York. Check it out and that old school charm will get you were you need to go.

I was searching for the *best* burger in the city for my boyfriend's birthday. All signs pointed to Minetta Tavern's Black Label Burger and it was not a disappointment. He loved it! I do not eat beef but he said it has a real meaty taste and was one of the best her had ever eaten. I had the trout with homemade croutons and it was absolutely delicious. I had to detract a star because the tables are VERY close together and the service was kind of on the slower side.

I guess we have to thank Mr Bourdain? Anyway, the burger, although a bit expensive was just good and simple, as we expected. It's a beautiful piece of meat with no fugazi stuff around and that is just great. Also, the location is cool and the vibe kinda oldschool which is great.

A solid but slightly disappointing experience at Minetta. Service was friendly and the decor was very cool, but the food was not what I was expecting. The Pasta Zaza was very salty and the Black Label Burger was good, but not worth the hype or the nearly $30 they charge for it.

Really great spot (nestled in a street corner), cool location (right near NYU, lots of bars, and comedy clubs nearby), great food (see burger), competent staff (very quick, very knowledgeable, and good attitude) and fitting décor (plush couches, intimate table settings, and good use of space, though it's cramped). It's a mix of a French fine dining experience, and an upscale bar with some of the best burgers around. A bit pricey, but worth it.
