While I'm here +Max Spicer says I should wear the Movember moustache with pride, so here's an up to the minute update. Please give generously and look out for yourself and/or the menfolk in your life.

Ok I'm moving over to using +Anthony Leonard on the york.ac.uk domain for work conversations and this account for personal stuff. I will be adjusting circles accordingly and I expect you may wish to also.

By the way I have decided to ditch +Anthony Leonard Google+ account on my personal Google Apps domain, as I can just as easily attach that email address to this gmail.com Google account where everything already is.

As many of the people I know on G+ are work colleagues be careful which one of me is sharing with you! I've kept the profile pictures different to disambiguate them.

Found this on what's hot in google+, so apologies if you've all seen this. The pink dots vanished for me. Wild.
If your brain works normally

This is another example of an amazing illusion!!! The last sentence is so true.

If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, the dots will remain only one color, pink.

However if you stare at the black '+ ' in the center, the moving dot turns to green.
Now, concentrate on the black ' + ' in the center of the picture. After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will see only a single green dot rotating.

It's amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear. This should be proof enough, we don't always see what we think we see.
Reshare this to all of your friends and amaze them.

Bloody hell!
Wow, this is incredible!

UC Berkeley scientists have developed a system to capture visual activity in human brains and reconstruct it as digital video clips. Eventually, this process will allow you to record and reconstruct your own dreams on a computer screen.

Makes me wonder what the results would be if you were a lucid dreamer [1]...

What's the maximum number of people on a Hangout? You can get 10 in your view but it can be much bigger. Biggest I've seen so far is 29.

Hell I always new video chat would come into its own one day.

Someone who joined Google in March 2011 has said they haven't received a phone call since joining. It's all been Hangouts. :))
