Recorded Video Surveillance Backup - iDVR-PRO HD CCTV DVR to Mac PC
The Mac software for iDVR-PRO security camera DVRs makes it simple to export recorded video surveillance footage. Users can watch the video to follow these instructions on how to search video, export / back it up, then play it on their macintosh PC.

1) Users can use the Mac software to connect to their DVR remotely over the Internet or on the same network as the DVR.

2) Once connected, there is a search screen where the user can select a time to begin playing back the recorded video.

3) When an event is identified, the user can use the backup function to select the time-frame, security cameras, and file path of the video files that they want to export.

4) After the files are saved, users can use the open source and free VLC media player to open and playback the MPEG video files that were exported.

iDVR-PRO surveillance DVRs are compatible with analog CCTV cameras as well as the latest HD-over-Coax type security cameras (AHD and HD-TVI).

In addition to the outstanding Mac software that is included, software for Windows PCs is also provided. Mobile apps for iPhone and Android are also free.

All of the client software and mobile apps support remote live security camera viewing as well as recorded DVR video playback.

Recorded Video Surveillance Backup for iDVR-PRO Security Camera DVRs
Exporting recorded video surveillance footage on iDVR-PRO security camera DVRs is simple. This video demonstrates the process of backing up video to a USB thumb drive, then playing back the exported video on a Windows PC.

This process can be followed anytime you need to share recorded video surveillance footage with the police, a judge, or anyone else.

The iDVR-PRO surveillance DVR used in this demonstration is compatible with analog CCTV cameras as well as HD-over-Coax security cameras (AHD and HD-TVI).

The process to export video and play it back on a Macintosh PC is slightly different. That is done via the Mac software that is included with iDVR-PRO DVRs and will be demonstrated in another video.

If you would like to learn more about this process and also download the exported video files used in this video so that you can playback the video from your PC, please visit this page.
