WLT is at the Armenian Street Festival in Kensington today showcasing the importance of protecting Armenia’s threatened habitats and local wildlife

WLT supports conservation work in Armenia in partnership with the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC). Since 2010 WLT has been funding land purchases and leases to extend FPWC’s Caucasus Wildlife Refuge, which shelters one of Armenia’s few remaining Caucasian Leopards.

The El Dorado Nature Reserve sits within the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range on the northern coast of Colombia. First designated in 2006, the reserve now protects 2,250 acres of valuable wildlife habitat. Recently, the reserve was further expanded to include a 148-acre parcel that is specifically important to the continued survival of a highly threatened bird species.

World Land Trust - Rainforest Conservation in Action
Introduction
The World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other wildlife habitats. So far WLT and its overseas project partners have been instrumental in the purchase and protection of over 500,000 acres.

"The money that is given to the World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of."
Sir David Attenborough

Mission:
  • To protect and sustainably manage natural ecosystems of the world.
  • To develop partnerships with local individuals, communities and organisations
  • To raise awareness, in the UK and elsewhere, of the need for conservation.

Did you know that a donation is made to save threatened tropical forest through the World Land Trust for every wedding photographed? So far BK Photography has donated and has saved 13,000 square metres of critically threatened forest. Many thanks to Bartocz for his support and congratulations to everyone who tied the knot in 2013.
