A great pairing of an interesting historical interior and delicious flavor combinations. I ordered the POOR MAN’S OSCAR: "Our Classic Hamburger Steak, Topped with Creamy Crab, Spinach, Mushrooms & Two Onion Rings" with sweet potato fries and the Peach Cobbler. Loved the beer selection (husband chose a local Moon River IPA). Good waitstaff too. Most items on the menu appealed to me and wish we could go back and try more, but we were just visiting for the day and Google and all the reviewers hooked us up. Truly, a good place to try!

Awesome! The history of the building is fun and the pictures and history on the wall amazing. We sat across the room from a women's group that looked like they were just stooped in history themselves chatting away boisterously. We enjoyed them quite a bit and even talked to them later on because they saw we were laughing along with them. At the end of the meal one of the southern ladies was pointing to pictures of the restaurants relatives on the wall and they commented that she many of the people on said wall and had been involved with a wedding that was shown in the picture that looked to be from the 40s or 50s. I love history and I love food. This place had both with a lot of character and very very very good food!

You wouldn't know it from the outside, which is quiet as library, but the inside is a rowdy and lively local bar. It "may" have been a speakeasy, but the building is definitely interesting and historic. Very good beer menu. Be prepared for a wait during the day, so grab a seat at the long bar if you can. They are more than happy to give several samples of the beer, so find one you love.

We were told of this restaurant but didn't appreciate that it was back in a neighborhood off Liberty. Not a creature was stirring when we approached the door to the address, and thought it was closed or we were lost. But the door opened and we stepped into a very lively restaurant and bar. We sat at the bar for dinner. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful, the local beer selection was great and the food very tasty. Loved the atmosphere of a local pub.

Fantastic Food and Service. Beer list is also exceptional. Would definitely repeat. Big hits with our party were NOGS Burger, Sweet Potato Fries, Duck Wings, but everything was well prepared and thoughtfully delivered. A great value too, and I loved the atmosphere. The place feels like Savannah. Highly recommended.

the bar staff couldn't be more obvious about not wanting to be at work. ready to order beer. needed to call her over. ready to order food. needed to call her over. wanted a glass of water. needed to call her over. ready for the check. needed to call her over. immediately put my credit card in it and she walked away. the other bartender paced the bar twice and made eye contact with the credit card and walked past. didn't say anything. we moved it closer to the ledge so it was more apparent and the credit card fell out. he took a glance and got back to talking to the other bartender. ordered the blue crab dip. really fantastic. very fast. food runner was very polite. also ordered the pastrami ruben. also came out quite quickly. really well made. food was really spot on, as well as the environment. only set back would be the two bartenders working. i hope the owner gets a chance to see this and reevaluate the staff behind the bar. i don't mind when my staff chats or watches the game on the tv, but they also know to be aware of the people at the bar. however, i would still recommend people to go visit the place because of the historical significance and the food!
