What a nice read, +Andy Williams
We're at the other side of the early 2000's looking glass. It took up to 2006's Big Daddy
update for SEO's to even consider
Then, after 2006, link building via content became a more common idea but even then doing pure link building vs earning and building a brand through content came down in favor of links (which for many was consider 98% of what makes up SEO).
Now things have flipped around and the idea is that all
you need is great content, some spreading the word, and hey presto -- big bucks.
Just as clean code has proven its value by being so fast (SEO+ point) and so easy to adapt to multiple devices (SEO+ point), so does doing other things right the first time deliver value long term: content, delivery, search engine friendliness, user friendliness, development.
Stop whacking the mole ("link!", "articles!", "guest posts!", "content!"); be the bat.
Thanks again for the post; will definitely share this.
