We've all tried our hand to imitate the great artists of the Art Nouveau movement. Well, March is the month of Art Nouveau lettering in Janice's ongoing series of hand lettering and alphabet alchemy. We are making gold from the raw materials of ink and paper. The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers essays on the art timeline. Ramp up your excitement for March and Art Nouveau with Janice Berkebile: http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/artn/hd_artn.htm

Che's supply list is posted--it's small because we're working with limited palettes this Saturday, February 25, 2017. Watercolor is fantastic! If you have one color, you have a range of hues because value is controlled by how much water you mix with the color. Multiply that by two or three colors and you have a universe of color. Add a fourth color and the universe of color explodes. Prepare to be amazed and thrilled at the seemingly boundless color in a limited palette.
Very exciting!

Get started with the first two-day series in March. Curtis is a wonderful teacher full of experience and insights, and patient. You will come away with real skills you can continue using.

Ray Pfortner brings his five most requested LECTURE/CONVERSATIONS which also include demonstrations when relevant, of how to get your art working for you. His experience is always current. Ray's art supports him and he shares what he learns and relearns with you in these wonderful opportunities to talk. The lecture format means other artists will share their questions, and everyone gets the benefit of learning from those questions you forgot to ask, but your neighbor brought forward. Regardless of how successful your art career is, you can learn how to improve your effectiveness through these lectures.
