Amazing tacos! Definitely a great place to take a date or small group. Great location. A bit crowded when I was there, but that always says something about the quality of a place.

Atmosphere and location great! THE ENTIRE MENU IN SPANISH. Very annoying. Service was terrible and food was way over priced. It does not cost $18 for a bowel of chili and flank steak. They seated us outside like we asked but it was in a mud hole. The waiter could barely speak english and would look at us and make eye contact but avoid coming to the table; Then complain that they were shorthanded and he could not make it over to us. I will not be back. If you want to call authentic making the menu un readable and having a wait staff that cant explain what it is, then yea its authentic. Oh yeah. The chips and salsa were terrible. The chips were cold and stale and kind of chewy, the salsa was a tiny shot glass to be divided between five people.

Well...this has to be The Pearl's most overrated spot. Always crowded with a long wait. We had made reservations using an app, so our wait was shorter, but we still had to wait. The food is just okay. You can find Tex-Mex like this anywhere around San Antonio, and for a lot cheaper. Two of my friends ordered micheladas, which were NOT micheladas. They tasted a bottle of Worcestershire sauce with a splash of beer. Seriously, it was like drinking alcohol teriyaki sauce. They need to try their own drinks before they serve them to people because everyone tried the drink at our table and agreed it was horrible. The ambiance is loud and nothing special. The layout is really weird. You have to walk through their server's running area to get to your table. They get 3-stars for just being okay. Don't let the crowd fool you.

Ordered the ceviche verde and elote. Dining companions ordered the tacos dorados verdes, shrimp coctel, and tacos carnitas. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I would return again and again.

I went with a big group to La Gloria after work and the service was quite good. The tacos al pastor are fantastic and their elote was one of the best I've had. If you go, be sure to try their house margarita on the rocks. It's less sweet and more tangy than most, but it's totally worth it.

The worst mexican food I've had in a long time. Tlayuda was inedible with how chewy it was drinks were overpriced and not very good. Service was mediocre.

Not much to say other than it is okay. Skip the chips and salsa since that costs 5 bucks. The tacos and other selections are all okay and not as good as some taco stands around town. Probably a 5 star outside of San Antonio but for this area it is a 3 to 4 star max. There is better. There is worse. But the location is the best part. Wonderful outdoor seating next to the river.
