I have been for lunch and dinner and liked both. The wait can be long, slower service if they are slammed and the pricing is on the slightly higher end, but rent isn't cheap in the Pearl Brewery district and you are paying for the ambience and river view. They have a nice band on Saturday night and we enjoyed it. It's not Tex Mex, it's more authentic Mexican food. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for. I really like it!

Would give 5 stars except that they charge $5 for chips and salsa. It's seems that the owners/managers do not have enough experience in the restaurant business to know that chips and salsa are inexpensive to make and that every other restaurant in town does not charge for them. I might be a small insignificant detail but it's a big turn off to most people, especially locals who don't want to be taken advantage of. Other than that the food is authentic and very well done. I will go back despite the chips and salsa charge.

I have been talking up LA GLORIA now for a few years.... (since the first time I ate here when it first opened up) I was in the area after visiting a family member in the hospital and decided to get everyone together to grab a bite. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT HERE. First, the little girls working the hostess stand were rude and uninviting. Not a smile, not once, from ANY of them. After a long day at the hospital we just wanted to eat and have a drink. They wouldn't even sit us because the whole party was not there. (We had 5 of 6 people) and it's not like they were busy.... Once we were sat we ordered a few appetizers (chips and salsa, to include one and that was a joke.) The waitress, Patty, was extremely pushy and not helpful at all. She kept asking us if we were ready to order every 5 seconds. More than half the table had never been to eat at this restaurant before, which I made sure she was aware, still no help in offering a suggestion or explanation of the menu. We ordered and she brought out the wrong plate and when we sent it back it was as if we were annoying her. The food I had was not the way I remembered it from the last visit. Seems like this restaurant has become a little lax over the years.... So all in all....service was POOR and the probably won't return and I will make sure to tell everyone, "it's just not worth it, at all."

Best margaritas in town. The fly situation is out of control. I get bistec especial every time and it's always amazing. Service is usually really good and fast. Just don't go during rush hours and expect things to go quickly. Ceviche isn't great for the price.

Great food, atmosphere and servers. Came here from a recommendation and was not disappointing. Is a quick 8 min drive from the riverfront/DT area and had a great fun, not loud, but excited environment, solid food from multiple Mexican states and servers who had great recommendations and energy. The food was so good I emptied my plate. Try the peach drink and the tlayudas.

If I could give this place a negative 5 I would!!! Like someone else stated "Not really sure what was going but be prepared to wait for long time. I am not a vicious food critic or an higher authority that writes these kind of comments but this is not Mexican street food as they claim to be." The food is not authentic Mexican food. It true that you have to wait even thought they have tables free. Everyone's food came before mine, some of the food was cold. After everyone was done I finally received my food. I was so upset and decided to take it to go. The food is over price for what they deliver. The so called chips and salsa where a joke. The waitress was MIA most of the time and was hard to get a hold of anyone because they where to busy not doing there jobs. I will not be going back ever and I do not recommend anyone to go.

Service was great! But i would never go there by choice again. I got mayonnaise on corn with cheese on it, a chicken gordita. Supposedly the corn thing is a Mexican favorite but it was sub par for me. The gordita was so greasy, too much seasoning, and the tortilla was soggy almost as if it wasn't even there. So i didn't finish those and instead i ordered grilled fish tacos. It was kinda gross cause it looked like leftover fish parts but i ate out cause i was hungry. We also waited 45 mins

Great food! Howeverrrr, the service is substantially slow!! You might get a 1+45 wait with 10 tables open on the patio.. Been here over a dozen times, and it doesn't change. Good luck at the bar, because they would rather chat with themselves then make a few bucks serving "pre-made margaritas" from a machine. Such a sweet location with a great ambiance, but good luck with service.
