This looks quite brilliant. Hope he really gets caught and kills a bunch of people throughout the fall. And then the last episode is just him sitting in an interrogation room, telling everything we've seen since the first episode. He's always wanted to be out in the open, to be seen for what - not who - he truly is. A return to the origins.

If you aren’t watching Bitcoin, you’re missing out

I’m scared to write this piece.

I’m scared because I believe I’m beginning to witness the collapse of the current dominant currency (USD), and the rise of a new one (Bitcoin).

I’m scared because I’m not sure who’s agenda it might be to silence and stop the people who are supporting and actively participating in this new currency.

I’m scared because it all might become illegal, and it won’t matter, because it will happen anyway. When peer2peer technologies come into being, there’s nothing anyone can do to stop them. We don’t have to remember Bittorrent, because it’s still thriving.

For the past 6 months I’ve been obsessed with Bitcoin. Every day I’ve checked into the latest Bitcoin news. I’ve become an obsessive trawler of the Bitcoin forums. I’ve learned the names of the CEOs of the hottest Bitcoin startups. I’ve installed a Bitcoin wallet. I’ve even sent and received a few Bitcoins.

The way I see the future, it’s only a matter of time before I’m earning some or all of my income in Bitcoin.

Why? The benefits of Bitcoin are simple.

1. No boundaries. Right now, I’m a full time international traveler. I have no home base, no permanent address. This makes it challenging to work with the current banking system, which has to send me cards in the mail and verify where I live. Even though, I live nowhere and everywhere at the same time.

2. No fees. With the current system, I get hit with fees when I earn, I get hit with fees when I withdraw. No one seems to know where all of these fees go, but I’ve made some guesses -- the pockets of people with a lot of power, money, and interest in keeping me continuing to pay fees.

3. No central banks/governments. All of my money flows through one source: the United States Federal reserve. In this place, they can print new money. Have you noticed how your USD hasn’t quite gone as far lately as it did in 2007? That’s because it doesn’t go as far as it did in 2007.

Bitcoin itself is simple. All I do is get your Bitcoin key from you, and I can send you Bitcoins. All you have to do is get mine, and you can send me Bitcoins. It’s easy, and irreversible. No chargebacks. No need for a third party taking a cut, or listening in.

The implementation is a bit harder. This is the largest obstacle Bitcoin faces right now. It’s kind of hard to on-ramp your current funds into the Bitcoin economy, and it’s also challenging to get them back into other currencies.

But this is changing, and very fast. Last month, Bitinstant started offering deposits from USD to Bitcoin in over 700,000 locations at 7/11s, Walmarts, and many other places any American can visit.

What I do know is this: if you aren’t watching Bitcoin, you’re missing out.
It’s tempting to stick our fingers in our ears during times of change.
It’s tempting to wait until a system is 100% implemented before we adopt it.
It’s hard to untether from the way we knew.

I’m ready to get involved. I’m ready to start earning in Bitcoin.

I’m scared to say it, because I don’t know what will happen.

Will Bitcoin become illegal?
Will the entire world-wide banking system collapse?
Will another currency come up that’s better?

Here’s a few things for you to read, if you’re ready to hear more

Remember the site we told you about that turned your tweets in to music? Well, if you thought THAT was cool, you’re going to faint over this. Seriously, sit down.

There’s a new social discovery game recently launched and it’s watching you – your tweets, that is. And it’s using your tweet data to create YOU avatars and MindPrints showcasing your persona.

You just won’t participate? You have no choice. Unless your account is private, if you’re on Twitter, you’re on Mind of Man, or MOM (Twitter is public after all). And “you’ve already been captured, profiled and matched to others like you.”
