As a complete Noob I started my journey into archery very simply - I Googled Archery in my area. I came across a few different websites and although RA didn't have the nicest website, I could see the mom/pop style professionalism. So I decided to go by one day after class. I made the GPS take me there and was greatly surprised by its proximity to my school/home. I pulled up on a non distinct little street and found them. I pulled on a parked. I walked in seeing exactly what I saw online when I took the virtual tour. A bunch of Archery equipment. I walked around for a bit without being helped. (All the guys were busy/wanted a moment to get my bearings). Bout ten minutes into my visit whilst standing by a big wall of compound bows, Bernie asked if I need anything (WHILE he was already helping another guy out!). I basically told him that I was a complete Noob. Fast forward - I learned that I had a 27" Draw Length. I shot many RH bows but through friendly advice I figured out that I was actually a left handed archer! (Thanks Mike!) I finally fell on love with a Black LH Bowtech Fuel! Since that day I have been back to shoot it again, take a beginner lesson with some friends (SO MUCH FUN! ), and finally bought my bow Saturday! 1-17-15!! Thanks Riverside Archery! Check em out guys, won't be disappointed!

I giggled when I read about the guy who bought his bow at Bass Pro Shop and went into their store and asked for more detail.....hello, quite rude. If you wanted to know more details about your bow go back to where you bought it.

I have been to this store 3 times. First two trips were fact finding tours. These guys are great. First time I went on a Monday (they were closed) but Ian and Travis saw me out there and came out to talk with me and answered a lot of my questions. I am a beginner as in never shot before. Second Trip, I came back from visiting a few other archery stores in the Orange county area and thought I had some idea of what I wanted. Bernie let me try out bows from beginning to advanced. Answered questions and gave me some shooting tips. At no point during any of this did they pressure me to buy or give many anything less that excellent service. I was there a few hours and did not purchase a thing. Third trip I had nailed it down and once again wanted to shoot to particular bows for comparison. They again were very happy to help. This time I was being helped by Evan. I asked to shoot both bows on the range to have a further target and the obliged. I had made a choice. Of course I changed it the next day and finally placed the order. 4th Trip is today to pick up my bow and get accessories as well as shoot it. I will post another review to let you all know how today went, but I expect I will be satisfied as these guys have been great during this entire process. The just want me to be really happy with my purchase and archery as a whole.

Have been going there on and off for years. Take lessons and the guy does "grab" my head to show me where it needs to be, not to try and pick up on me or to break my neck. The owner doesn't smile much but she gives me what I need when I need it and doesn't jack me around.

It's been 25 years since I've touched a bow last. Out of nowhere my beautiful wife says that she wants to give archery a try. I was floored. So we head over to Riverside Archery to check out what they had to offer. The store was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday afternoon but still, we were greeted by Travis, the owner, who gave us almost two hours of his time picking out the right bows and personally adjusting them for us. It took a couple of tries but he got it JUST RIGHT. They have an archery range there within the store too and so they (Travis and Chris) taught us how to shoot them properly. About the store... archery is the only thing they do. Their selection of bows ranges from the inexpensive to the very expensive ($1400) + used. They have every accessory you can imagine and it is well staffed. Everyone we came in contact with was ridiculously helpful and enthusiastic about their jobs. Travis was the stand-out among them but I also really liked Chris. We ended up spending more than I expected but I did so happily. If you haven't shot a bow in a while then it's worth checking out. I did a lot of research before I bought. After many wasted hours online I came to realize that this is not the kind of thing you can buy off eBay or at an online store. You really need to be measured for your bow and have them adjust it so that the draw weight is comfortable. I didn't expect to buy a Bowtech bow today but I followed their recommendations and am super pleased and can't wait to go out and play with my new toy.

The people here are great and have helped me so much. I really cannot see how anyone would give them a negative comment. Also the people of the archery community in general are so generous with their time giving lots of good advice and encouragement.
