#TGIF. It's Friday. Glory be to God for His continous mercies.
Today at St Martha's, we are looking back on all the graces that the Good Lord has bestowed upon our community and consciously being grateful and thankful for everything, because sometimes, we forget and very easily too, how lucky we are in life. Great things are continually happening around us, if only we take a moment to 'see' and 'acknowledge' them.
A few things that we are grateful for, at St Martha's:
- Our girls safe journey to and from Lyon on the French Exchange programmes.
- Our girls doing amazingly well in sports and winning multiple Gold Medals against other school at the ISA North London Athletic Championship.🏆🏆
- All Exams going smoothly without any hiccups for us or our students.
- Having the privilege of being our sister Teresa's extended family in her time of great sadness.
- the return of Mrs Carpenter and Williams back from maternity.
- The great experience it is to work together as one in our community.
And so much more...!
Thank you also to all parents and teachers, students, priests, sisters and staff, for contributing to our schools success in your win unique way.

It's the middle of the week and already, we are into things with gusto in our small community. Our girls are settled and facing whatever activities, exams and studies with the diligence that they apply to everything. The same diligence was applied to the sports event of the ISA North London Athletic Championship, and resulted in Gold Medal Gallore for our school. So right now, our attitude, in the words of our headmaster is: #StMarthasGirlsCan and #WeRock because they truly can and we truly rock! 🏆🏆💪
We have many more events and activities coming up soon, so please keep your diaries updated by visiting and checking out the website; www.st-marthas.co.uk or follow us on Twitter; @StMarthas and @StMartgas_sports.

To our girls taking exams, we wish them the very best of luck. We know they are prepared come what may, but we still have them all in our prayers because we know and understand how stressful students can become during exam periods.
There are plenty of hints, tips and advice via online resources (especially, ElevateEducation) that can help students revise better. You may wish to check it out too.

Many many more things to see and do on our website. Visit us and see what you think, but most importantly, keep up to date with the latest news and information.

Hello to you. How is your week going?

With the exam period upon us and with all the buzz surrounding decoupling AS & A Levels into individual qualifications, do you know what to expect?
See what our Headmaster, Matthew Burke, has to say on that as well as on our obsession with A* grades in his blog 'Our Culture of Perfection': http://st-marthas.co.uk/our-culture-of-perfection/

We have plenty more exciting news and activities happening and coming up in our community. Would you care to join in? Click: www.st-marthas.co.uk and find out more.

It's the middle of the week already. Phew. We have so many things that we are grateful for, here at St Martha's especially the cohesion and growth of our school and appreciation that many people have for our small community.

Last week, Our Headmaster, Matthew Burke, attended the Enfield Deanery meeting, held at St Ignatius College in Enfield and was very impressed with both staff and students. From his reports, we realise that we are very fortunate to be members of various groups and associations who give us their support and encouragement and with positive comments and lines of questions from other Heads, Priests and Catechists from the Deanery, we know that lots of people are talking about St Martha’s and for this, we are grateful.

Also, last term, schools across the country were asked to submit entries for the Grim Tales, a mini saga competition offered by Young Writers and inspired by the Brothers Grimm. Students were asked to include a twist in their scary tales. We are happy to announce that Five of our students’ stories have been selected for publication: Effiyenia Liassides, The Six Strands of Silver; Ellana Cowan, The Guardian; Daisy Matthews, Thinking it Was My Mother; Isabelle Deed, the Klondike Quest; and Gabriella Pempestios, The Forest.
The Grim Anthology will be published at the end of August and we look forward to it.

Huge #Thank you to everyone who has shown St Martha's, support and appreciation in one way or another; #Parents, #Teachers, #Sisters, #Priests, #Students, and #Staff. We would be nothing without you! the amazing people that make up our blessed community. http://ow.ly/i/aTHcI

These and so many more blessings that we have to be grateful for. Find out more on our website: www.st-marthas.co.uk Also follow us on Twitter; @StMarthas for instant updates on our activities and our sports handle @stmarthas_sports for our sport news, fixtures and updates.

We carefully choose and assess every host family who are part of our homestay programme which allows students to live locally to the school.
