With Easter just around the corner, I decided it was time to bring my 'Rose of Jericho' (AKA Resurrection Plant) to life. Just place the dried plant in some water and watch it turn from brown to green right before your very eyes.

You want to be a good steward of the environment and reduce the amount of trash you're sending into the waste stream. But you think composting is hard. It seems intimidating in the beginning, but it's really simple to get started. Here are some tips for you first time composters out there.

Free #SeedStarting workshop tonight in #Chicago at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church's lower level. The Manor Garden Club is hosting me and I'll be demonstrating how to start seeds indoors at 7:30pm. If you're in Chicago, come by the workshop and take notes, or bring your own seeds and pots and we'll show you how to sow them. The location is conveniently located just off of two #cta   Brown Line stops and we'll have the workshop even if it's snowing.
