It's that time of the year when people come to the blog with questions about saving allium seeds from their plants. Are you growing alliums? It's really easy to save seeds from these plants and make more free plants.

How are your tomatoes doing? Did you know you can take cuttings from your plants and clone more plants? Now's a great time to start cloning so you can extend the life of your determinate tomatoes, or just make more plants for your garden.

+John Litvinenko That's a good tip, but I don't find I have a need for any rooting chemicals when propagating tomatoes. They root really fast in plain tap water.

Last week I shared a post I wrote for Craftsy on how to set up your own worm bin for indoor composting. Here is part two covering what you should feed your worm babies. Click through for the post, and tell me below what your worms love to eat.
Just like your cat and dog have a preference for some foods, your worm bin will love some foods, tolerate others, and completely avoid some food scraps you add. Read this post for tips on what to feed your worm bin.

Do you love amaryllis bulbs? I found a couple of miniature bulbs on clearance this spring and I decided to plant them up and put them in my container garden.

Tired of hauling trash to the dumpster? Wish you could do something beneficial for your houseplants and garden, but don't have room for a traditional compost bin? Maybe you should get worms and try vermicomposting! It's easy to create your own worm composting bin.
You want to compost, but don't have a yard for a compost bin? I bet you have enough space in your home or apartment for a small worm composting bin. All of the benefits of composting, with none of the work of heavy lifting.
