Free RPG Day! Snagged a copy of Vaginas are Magic and the DCC Quickstart/Adventure. Got the last copy of VaM. Store was hopping and they were setting up a second table for games.

Last time +Charles Neligh and I played 1-on-1 Dungeon World his character discovered a couple of magic items. I wrote them up shortly after and promptly forgot about them. Here they are.

The Fulvous Scope
This mango-sized, glowing, yellow-orange, gem appears to full of tiny, indistinct people.

When you gaze into the Fulvous Scope and focus on someone you know, roll +INT. On a hit you experience their senses in real time. On a 10+ roll twice. On a 7-9 roll once.
1. Sight
2. Sound
3. Smell
4. Touch
5. Thoughts
6. Health

The Inverted Heart
This silver pendant depicts an upside-down heart.

When you grasp the Inverted Heart and will your heart to stillness, roll +WIS. On a hit you become invisible to undead. 10+ pick 2; 7-9 pick 1.
* You do not take 1d6 damage.
* You do not resemble a corpse for the duration of the effect.
* You can sense the proximity of undead.

Stopped by Haven Comics Etc in Madison, AL while on vacation today. They didn't have any game stuff I needed/wanted but it was great to see a DCC display and that there were at least 5 folks signed up for a free RPG day DCC game. Bought some comics for the kids as a show of support.

Colorado beer dispatch - So far I've had beers from Dry Dock Brewing, Avery, Denver Beer Company, Odd 13, Oasis, Liquid Mechanics, and my brother's grapefruit sculpin homebrew knockoff. Also a pint of bacon at William Oliver's Public House. Whoo!

In Denver for a business trip. The table at the restaurant last night was covered by an old Western map printed on butcher paper. Very badly put me in the mood to play some Boot Hill.
