I hereby propose a new unit of measurement:  The Kanye - a measure of one's imbecility.
For example, rushing the stage during an award ceremony and hijacking the microphone is equivalent to 1 Kanye.  Most people at most only achieve a .2 or .3 on the Kanye scale throughout their entire lives but Kanye has shown me that we are all capable of so much more.

Many thanks to Mr. Moho who posted this very useful comment in an earlier thread about the MIT Cold Fusion Seminar. I thought it deserved our attention, so I have made it a separate post. All lectures from the Cold Fusion 101 Class at MIT have been posted on thecoldfusionnow.org Youtube channel.

A visual explanation by Victor Powell for Setosa. What follows in an interactive walk through of Euclid's proof of the Pythagorean Theorem. Let ABC be a right-angled triangle having the angle BAC right. I say that the square on BC equals the sum of the squares on BA and AC .

Story
Introduction
Someday I'll come up with a witty caption.  Until then...

Older acquaintances and school mates will remember me as  Rob Reid.   I legally changed my last name to Chevalier many years ago.  It's a long story but my last name should have been Chevalier when I was born.

I haven't been able to play music or paint much after having children but hope to return to my hobbies again someday.

I've been very fortunate to have a great career as a computer geek for UC Berkeley, Lane Community College, and now the University of Oregon.  I continue to love that fact that I am challenged everyday and get to work with folks with seriously huge brains.

I moved from the San Francisco Bay Area of California to Eugene, Oregon in 2008 and haven't regretted it for one second.  Eugene is very similar to how Santa Rosa was back in the '70s.  To anyone considering moving out of California, I say "go for it"!!!
