I would have to bet if it weren't for the location of this place it would have gone out of business a long time ago. It started out that I arrived at 330 and couldn't even get checked in until 430 which caused my girlfriend and I to not have enough time to get ready for our anniversary dinner and we missed our reservation. Then we get into the room which looked like it hasn't been updated in 20 years. We could hear everything going on in all rooms around us and the loud scraping elevator door every time it opened and closed which led to not getting any sleep. Then when I checked out they told me they had no record in the system of the cash I paid for the incidentals even when I showed them my receipt with proof I paid it she said she couldn't do anything until I had to throw a fit to get it back.

The rooms are semi updated but not nearly to the point you would expect for paying 200 plus dollars a night. Called the front desk because the room was muggy, with no air circulation and the fan that was provided didn't work. She said they did not have central ac in the rooms only fans. I called the front desk and 30 minutes later, nothing. I called the front desk again and the front desk worker said he didn't know anything about it but he would send up a security guard. I called 20 minutes later and the front desk guy hung up on me. Almost a hour later they finally brought up a working fan.

The hotel staff was helpful and friendly, and my room was well cleaned. The furniture and flat screen TVs (I stayed in a suite) were great. The hotel itself is a little old, and it shows. The carpet in my room had stains, the railings around the hotel were rusting, ice maker in my freezer was broken, etc.

It is all about location. Far over priced for what you get. Only the suites are decent and they charge an outrageous amount for them. I would stay more often if the price was better. P.S. Charging $20 a day to park is horrible!

We spend a few nights "roughing it" in the main (four story) building, w/ultra small kitchen (no AC, microwave nor safe). It was very cold the winter we stayed there, so we had to use the portable heaters. It was a rather depressing/old place and extremely noisy. If it was not for the spectacular view & beach location, we would have left after one or two nights. After asking about a quieter room we were offered an upgraded room in the Annex (6 story building). These upgraded rooms are very much worth the extra $5 we paid. They are much larger, better equipped and are better decorated, but not much quieter. We would not consider returning until (possibly) after they renovate soon.

For $200+ a night I was very disappointed. Everything is from 1970, very outdated. It's winter and there's no central heating so we had to use the oven to help heat up the room. Our bedroom electrical sockets are very unsafe and we had a shortage. The shower head is very leaking and trying to take a hot shower was very hard, the water temperature fluctuates so much. The view is beautiful but I would never come back. The breakfast was a joke. No meat, the scrambled eggs ran out before we got there and instead of making more eggs the red head cook just dumped oatmeal in the dirty egg pan. Very unsanitary.

Avoid this hotel! It shows as a 3 star hotel and it's no better than a dirty motel. There is no ac in any of the rooms, so they gave us portable unit, vented it out the patio door, which kept the door from closing. The room was dirty, there were bugs in the bed, and the comforter was covered in stains. None of the windows closed or locked. We left an hour after checking in so hopefully we weren't around long enough to catch any diseases.
