I love Christmas and so I have started to get prepared. My hectic lifestyle calls for a bit of preplanning but I don't like to starts too soon as I think that spoils the magical aspect of Christmas.

Hi, I'm fairly new to blogging, initially setting up my site in May 2016. My equestrian blog is about my experiences as a working mum with horses. They are not only about our equine friends and how they fit into our lives but also life in general. During the setting up of the blog I got a little carried away with having my own horsey based business and I have added an ecommerce side to it too!

I haven't got much traffic going through my site at the minute so I am looking for ways to generate traffic.

Sometimes life can be cruel. You work hard to provide for your family, you are honest and law abiding, you help others. So why then do you get dealt the hand of depression? I know there could be and there are worse things, terminal illness, the death of a child. I have to be thankful that both I and my family are in good physical health. Here is a link to a little story I wrote about dealing with the trials of life and learning that a loved one is suffering from depression.

On the whole the help and medication are helping but there are still dark days that to me seem to appear out of nowhere.

Horse health is a priority to us. We never want to see our equine friends in distress or under the weather. When does what seems like a minor ailment that can be treated with a bit of TLC become something that we need to get some further advice and assistance on? Over the years I have had a few horses with a bit of nasal discharge, luckily I have been able to manage these situations myself without intervention from my local vet. But how do you know how long to leave it?

Since getting my site up and running and before I managed to get round to setting up my Google + page I wrote some equestrian blog posts that I thought I should share with you. The first one I wrote was about my experience of dealing with equine Lymphangitis. If you are unfamiliar with the symptoms it can be a little daunting but I am pleased to say my old gent made pretty much a full recovery. I hope you will have a read.

The concept of Life at a Gallop was originally to be a blog about my life as a working mum of two with horses. It was to share my experiences with other like minded people who are perhaps in a similar situation to me. To let others know that they are not alone in juggling kids, work and horses on a daily basis.

Since purchasing my domain name back in May I have slowly created The site itself has also taken on a bit of a life of its own with the introduction of an ecommerce shop showcasing an array of horsey products with lots more still to be added. Not only that, my hubby has allowed me to steal some space within his hot tub showroom so I have an actual little outlet.

It is all very exciting if not a little overwhelming. I hope you will take a look at my site, which is still very much work in progress, and follow my stories and progress as I launch myself into the world of blogging and the proud owner of my very own little equestrian store.
