Check it out, a great review and look into the creative methods of one of my former class mates. Adam was often onto some interesting tangents... glad to see that he's getting some attention for it.

Questions & Answers  -

I have a question for those who sell paintings online - how do you ship them? there must be some sort of crate-construction involved to ship a work safely, any tips on how to do so?

Food & Drinks  -

Comfort in local food...

Scrapple is a common breakfast meat around the mid-atlantic states, but it's not usually seen or eaten outside of that range. It's essentially the left over bits from butchering a pig, boiled with spices and corn meal, pressed into a loaf, and later sliced and grilled (or fried in butter) It's one of my favorites although I don't eat it very often... I prefer mine grilled so it's crispy on the outside and soft inside, served along side eggs over easy and buttered white toast.

mmm potato pancakes... I associate those with the Polish festival and childhood friends who were Jewish. There are a lot of my favorite foods that are pretty regional... I'd be lost without cheese steaks, old bay coated blue crabs, sausage sandwiches and hoagies...

So I know I have some newer folks following me on g+ (hi guys!) and I thought I'd throw this back out for the newer people or just whoever missed it before - I work pretty slowly with my oil paints so it tends to be a bit between finished works, full time employment and life in general will have that effect, so you can check out my past works here. You can also check out my etsy shop for smaller pieces that are available for sale at http://www.etsy.com/shop/theartofhintz

there's something inherently relaxing and summery about having henna mud piled in my hair and eating watermelon while I wait for the dye to sink in...

working on that tattoo comission this week, hopefully I'll break out some oil paints next week... camping this weekend in the wilds of new jersey.

The Art of Hintz - creating paintings, books, henna, and other sundry works
Introduction
My work is centered on patterns and motifs which I find in the natural world, medieval illumination, and islamic art. I love to work with a variety of materials, each with its different sense of presence - from buttons, henna and hand made paint, to scrapbooking papers and silver point. I hope you will enjoy!
