Pyramids and Sphinxes in Cuba!

We had a visit recently from our favourite scientist, professor John Gunn  who is in charge of monitoring temperature, humidity and Co2 levels at the cave. He reports that everything is great and the stalactite is not suffering any ill effects as a result of people visiting the cave. We like to consider ourselves guardians of the Great Stalactite

Helictites in Doolin Cave. They are straw stalactites that formed in an air stream in the cave, hence the odd shapes

This is the last we see of the stream at Doolin cave on the left until it appears in the Wild Atlantic at Ballyreen 3 miles away to the west
